It is with great sadness to report that J. Blackfoot (born John Colbert, November 20, 1946) died today, November 30, 2011 at Methodist Germantown Hospital near Memphis, TN.
We will keep you abreast of service information as we receive it.
J. Blackfoot will truly be missed.

ReplyDeleteI will never forget the time riding home in a taxi many many years ago and the taxi driver ran a stop sign and red light and i mean he was putting the pedal to the medal and i will never forget tapping him on the shoulder saying "don't let j blackfoot get you in any trouble" and he had to pull on side of the road for laughing so hard. But those was the good ole days. RIP Mr Blackfoot you will be miss
ReplyDeleteMr. Blues man J Blackfoot will be missed dearly. I heard him this fall at the Blues Fest in the Delta. He was ill, but refused to let his illness keep him from performing. RIP, I know my brother is probaly bothering you for a song. :)

ReplyDeleteAlmost every Sunday I listen to your music. Everyone always talk about Taxi but my favorite song was Mr Bus Driver and Stood on the Sidewalk and Cried. I must say your music didn't get the credit it deserved
