I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Black Country Communion 2 - New Release Review
I gotta tell you, I'm totally shocked. I had preconcieved notions that this would be a Joe Bonamassa recording and it certainly isn't. In fact I would go to the extent of saying the I barely recognize his influence on the recording. I have not heard BCC I but understand that it was a huge success.
This cd has the power of a rock band with strong writing and rhythm section and lead playing. Will it appeal to blues listeners? I don't know. I can hear hints of Aerosmith and Led Zep in there...not in riffs or anything. Just the nods that are made by musicians any time they do a tune that has any similarities. There is one bluesy standout, " Little Secret" but it isn't on youtube.
In any case, if it sounds good in description, you'll probably love it.
Enjoy

Black Country Communion,
