(ENCINITAS, Calif) - There is a quality guitar slinger on the Blues horizon, and if you don't already, you should know his name: Reuben Vigil. The San Diego-based Vigil fronts trio Big Shot Reub & The Reloaders, who have released a tasty new ten-song set of sumptuous music entitled, ROUNDHOUSE BLUES (Hat and Case Music).
"Roundhouse Blues" is nominated in the "Best Blues Album" category for the 2011 San Diego Music Awards, taking place Monday, August 8. Go online to vote at www.sandiegomusicawards.com. The album was mastered by multi-Grammy-winning Charlie Watts (renowned for his work on Fleetwood Mac's Rumors among others) and engineered and produced by Glen Laughlin (Dickies, Cherry Bluestorms).
