New from Blind Raccoon: Kid Man Blues - Bert Deivert

I have just received the new release by Bert Deivert called "Kid Man Blues". This is a pretty interesting release in that it ventures through Country and Delta blues classic tracks but with a modern spin....and played primarily on mandolin. No Deivert isn't the first bluesman to play mandolin, a mainstay of Yank Rachell... even Ry Cooder will don a mandolin now and again for a classic tune (Check Goin' to Brownsville. The artist tune covered include R.L. Burnside, Skip James, Son Houes and Sleepy John Estes as well as a few "traditional" and one self penned song. There are plenty of interesting tunes and if you like the sounds of Blind Blake and and other such Counrty Blues players, your bound to find this enjoyable.

This cd was released on October 11, 2011.

Enjoy!
