Deal of the Week: Jerry Garcia on Broadway Poster Deal of the Week: Jerry Garcia on Broadway Poster
Impresario Bill Graham played host to Jerry Garcia's legendary two-week run at New York's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, donning the audience with top hats with which to tip Garcia on opening night and serving egg creams (a Jerry fave) in the lobby. Originally $175, we are offering the 1st printing poster for $87...that's 50% off a historic 1987 piece of memorabilia! And while you're at it, put the money you're saving from the poster towards a photograph of Captain Trips.

Towards the end of the 1960s, the Airplane's live sound was full of power and aggression; that ferocity made their classic material sound fresh, while newer songs and improvisations were reaching intense peaks never approached in the studio. This recording from October, 1969 - two months after Woodstock - captures that Sound during a jam-heavy set of pscychedelic rock. Grab this quintessential piece of Airplane listening for only $5, tune in, and enjoy the flight (wherever it takes you).

New Release: Hot Tuna New Release: Hot Tuna
The seeds were planted in Jefferson Airplane, but Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady's love of the blues reached its full potential in Hot Tuna. This weekend, we're releasing a set from the 1991 Mid-Summer Festival in Telluride, CO, with Jorma's impressive finger-picking, Jack's melodious bass lines, and the telepathic interplay between the two on full display. It's mostly an acoustic set, but this trio configuration of the group also featured electric elements, including some sizzling slide work from Jorma. Go get some blues Hot Tuna-style.
New Jazz Release: Rahsaan Roland Kirk New Jazz Release: Rahsaan Roland Kirk
A year before he added "Rahsaan" to the beginning of his name, Roland Kirk took the stage at the 1969 Newport Jazz Festival and blew the crowd away with his unique mix of avant-garde jazz, gospel, blues, and R&B. This set is a great introduction to his music, with plenty of stunning examples of Kirk's multi-instrumental techniques. Don't be one of the "jive pot-smoking city slicker hipsters" Kirk jokingly teases in the audience: crank up and enjoy this 1969 Roland Kirk set.
