New Release: Swamp Cabaret - Suze Lanier-Bramlett - Review

I just received a copy of the new recording, "Swamp Cabaret" by Suze Lanier-Bramlett. Suze is a multi talented artist having appeared in off Broadway productions, television commercials, indie films and has had guest star and continuing roles on television shows as well as major production movies. She has also done stand up comedy and starting in the 80's ... her own LA based band. She was married to Delaney Bramlett who passed away in 2008 and mother of guitarist Eric Dylan Thomas. She has also added to her background portrait photographer where she garnered the title of top 10 LA photographers. On this new release Lanier-Bramlett has put together 15 original (10 of which were penned by Suze and 2 which were penned by Delaney) and 4 cover tracks. It is an interesting release and one that many will enjoy. Favorite tracks are You Don't Even Know My Name, a piano blues which blooms into a full speed as it concludes and If I Should Die Tonight, a gospel like song which shows off not only Lanier-Bramlett's vocals but the sax playing of Alfredo Ballesteros, and a great backing chorus.

  1. I saw Suze Lanier-Bramlett's show at the M-Bar in Hollywood, Ca. last year.
What an exciting show she puts on, showing that she's indeed, a GREAT entertainer.

This CD is like icing on the cake...I highly recommend this CD.
