I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Sweet Home Chicago - The Will Johns Band
Singer-songwriter/guitarist Will Johns has been playing his riffs across the globe for more than 15 years with a blend of fiery vocals and guitar wizardry, his compositions and performances consist of blistering authentic rock and blues. He has performed with many incredible musicians, entrancing listeners around the world. Will Johns' crafted songs and performing style are as infectious as they are rousing.
Will's musical influences include Ry Cooder, Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley and Eric Clapton. Joe Bonamassa has also become something of a favourite!
Will has many unique accolades including: being mentored by Eric Clapton, recording with Dad, Andy Johns , as well as with the legendary, Clash frontman, Joe Strummer, re-opening the legendary London venue The Crawdaddy Club (birthplace of The Rolling Stones), at the original site in Richmond, Surrey, and performing with Jack Bruce from the Supergroup CREAM, and also Bill Wyman and Ronnie Wood with Comedian Frank Skinner, at the Mandarin Oriental, for the Peter Cook Foundation!
Will Johns was born in London, 1973 to actress/model Paula Boyd, and L.A. Record Producer/Engineer Andy Johns (The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, and Eric Clapton). At the age of 15, he started playing guitar and singing, during frequent stays with his Auntie Pattie, Will was encouraged and mentored by the legendary guitarist, Eric Clapton. Will studied performing arts in Oxford at Oxpens College, achieving a National Diploma while honing his guitar skills at the historic Carfax Crossroads. He eventually formed his first band, Cloud 9 which broke Will onto the stage and created a life long passion for performing with his guitar.
Whilst living in L.A., Will Johns bumped into his old friend, Jesse Wood (son of Ronnie) and together they formed the band GLYDA. The band had success releasing an album and three EP's, and wooing audiences in the US, Ireland, France, Germany, and UK. After GLYDA, Will began performing under the pseudonym of 'Willy Brown' and formed The Psychedelic Blues Band which toured along the south coast of England.
In 2008, with a desire to further his solo career, Will Johns moved back to Brighton from London and recorded and released his first album 'Count On Me'. The next album is in the pipeline and The Will Johns Band are rehearsing the material for recording early in 2012.
