Carey Bell and Cooper Terry

Cooper Terry (San Antonio, 1949 – San Francisco, 1993) was a guitarist and American blues harmonica player, active for many years in Italy. His real name is Verl Cooper Jr. After the first musical experiences in the United States as a session musician for musicians such as John Lee Hooker and Sonny Terry, Cooper moved to Europe in 1970, settling in Milan in 1972. Here begins to play regularly on the premises that flock to the Milanese jazz and blues scene, coming into contact with characters who then will prove important in his path, like the harmonica player Fabio Treves and bassist Lillo Attested, and laying the foundations of what will be the Italian blues scene.
