Tim Bastmeyer is a Canadian blues singer/songwriter who started his musical career in 1986 and over the years has played and recorded with a number of different recording artists. He has performed throughout North America, as well as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Scotland and England.  His most recent self-titled recording was released in late 2011 and was produced and engineered by Bastmeyer. resulting in significant airplay and reviews, reaching #34 on The Roots Report. Featuring Juno award winning blues artist Julian Fauth on piano, James Thomson on bass and Corey Richardson on drums, this release is much different than Bastmeyer’s 2010 recording,  a solo acoustic blues recording titled Graveyard. There are 11 tracks on the CD, featuring 10 originals and a cover of the blues classic ‘I’m Going Down’. It is a mix of hard blues with a rock edge and blues ballads.

When not out playing shows Bastmeyer can be found in Uxbridge, Ontario where he and his wife own and operate a music school and recording studio.
