Following her acclaimed performance alongside Annie Lennox at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert in June 2012, the release of her critically acclaimed third studio album Almost Always Never, and a nationwide UK tour, blues rock sensation Joanne Shaw Taylor follows her sold out London Borderline concert with four UK concerts in November and December, including a high profile headline concert at London’s o2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Thursday 28th November.
An exclusive 24-hour Planet Rock presale starts Tuesday 14th May, followed by an Ents24 presale on Wednesday 15th May. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday 17th May. 24 hour box office 0844 478 0898, www.thegigcartel.com
Special guest on all four concerts is King King - winner of 'Best Band' & 'Best Album' 2012 in The British Blues Awards, plus winner of  'Best Band' & 'Best Album' in Blues Matters Magazine Writers Poll 2011.
"She’s blonde, she’s beautiful and she plays blistering blues-rock guitar. She’s a rock and roll revelation."
Sunday Mercury
"Joanne Shaw Taylor is the nation’s favorite Blues goddess."
Classic Rock Blues
Joanne’s Borderline concert was filmed for a live DVD/CD that will coincide with her November UK tour dates. The live recording will be released as part of Ruf Records’ ongoing Songs From The Road 2 disc DVD/CDs. Previous releases in the live series include Luther Allison, Jeff Healey, and Savoy Brown.
Originally a native of the West Midlands, Joanne Shaw Taylor is a phenomenal guitarist, singer/songwriter who continues to take both sides of the Atlantic by storm. As a guitarist, Joanne blends styles into her blues-based music, including rock, blues, funk, and soul. All of her influences signify a direct source of inspiration in her writing and playing abilities.
"Joanne’s debut was loose and funky but it’s her new songs that display a Strat-mangling masterclass on which she douses the blues format with rocket fuel."
Total Guitar
"Joanne’s the undisputed UK blues Queen who shows all the blues boys and girls exactly how it’s done."

Although she has enough chops to keep up with the best in the business, she tends to rely more on groove and emotion to draw in her audience, holding their attention until the last notes of the song fade away. In addition to her fretwork, she possesses a sultry voice that only accentuates her playing and adds another level of musicianship to her artistic palette.
Joanne was originally discovered by Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart as a 16 year old guitar prodigy. Through hard work and near-constant touring, she is now one of the hottest young names on the British Blues circuit. She is admired and respected by her peers including Joe Bonamassa.
"Almost Always Never explores a pile-up of car-crash relationships set against some enjoyably feral fretwork… a brilliant return."
Classic Rock
"With smoking, rock-infused guitar playing, Joanne’s now a seasoned axe-slinger with a flight case full of road-honed chops."

The November and December concerts will see Joanne performing tracks from her current album Almost Always Never, plus favorites taken from her first two albums - White Sugar (2009) and Diamonds in the Dirt(2010).
Joanne was voted "Best British Female Vocalist" at the British Blues Awards in 2010 and 2011. Her current album, Almost Always Never, was produced by the legendary Mike McCarthy (Spoon, ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, Patty Griffin) in Austin, Texas.
"She’s got a bad-tempered soloing style, a singing voice like burn sugar and an obsession with Stevie Ray Vaughan to speaker shattering effect."
