Texas Blues Runners

The “Texas Blues Runners” came into being from an idea born on Thanksgiving night in November of 2008 by bassist/singer/songwriter Steve Crane, and Hammond organist Charlie Rouzer, after hearing the blistering blues guitar delivered up by Mike O’Neill, and the explosive drumming of Jessie Andrade at The Iron Horse Pub in Wichita Falls, TX. In the 60s and 70s Steve and Charlie had played together in the bands “The Livin End” and “Baby”, and both were exploring ways to play together again. The four decided to record an album and the rest is unfolding. Recording began in August of 2009, in Austin TX at Wire Recording. The first six songs recorded were written by Steve and some with co-writer Scott Ellison. The second session produced five more songs, some co-written with Mike, and an instrumental written entirely by him. Their first album, “Somebody Bring Me Some Water” is finished, released, and available now. It is a work of love and passion which all four musicians possess in goodly amounts. Their love for music and palpable energy is apparent in the listening. “We hope that you will join in for the journey that is already underway, and share the experience. Music brings us all together so that we can make a difference. It was so in the 60s, and is still the same today. It is one beautiful gift that no-one can take away! You may be reminded of electric Texas Blues, Hard Rock, or transported to Haight-Ashbury or Sunset Strip where unique music was born—We were there... We’d like to take you with us, and we promise to return you safely home... Thank you for being here.” We hope that you will will visit our site regularly, and hang out a little while.
