She is supporting her June release Secret Canon Vol. 2. She is back in the States to play The Living Room in NYC on October 1. Then she's headed back to her new home in New Orleans. Dayna researched music for this project for months to come up with just the right material. In addition, Secret Canon, Vol. 2  contains a few of Dayna's smoky and seductive originals. The sessions for the recording took place in New York as well as Danya's new home in New Orleans. Over the past decade, the recent New Orleans transplant vocalist/writer/musician/producer has been bestowed with many awards and praises. Dayna Kurtz was named Female Songwriter of the Year by the National Academy of Songwriters.  Norah Jones and Bonnie Raitt have raved about her in interviews, and she's performed on such high-profile radio shows as World Cafe, Mountain Stage and NPR's Morning Edition.  She's toured with and/or opened for the likes of Elvis Costello, Richard Thompson, Rufus Wainwright, B.B.
