Chris Buck first came to national notice in the trio TH3. Based in South Wales the trio came to the attention of the likes of Classic Rock after playing the
Sonisphere Festival and were selected by the magazine as a talent to watch for.
In the aftermath of the trio’s split, Buck's management decided the best thing was for Chris to record an album. They called on him to fly to Arizona and 'Postcards from Capricorn' was the result.
Returning to the UK Chris spent time looking for the perfect singer, a
contemporary Paul Rodgers. Invited to open for Sandi Thom he asked Sally Ann Evans to sit in as a vocalist. Sally Ann and Chris had once shared a stage at The Steelhouse in Ebbw Vale. The rehearsal for the show revealed an unexpected empathy between her voice and his guitar. Says co-manager Alan Niven [Guns n Roses, Great White, Havana Black, Clarence Clemons, The Angels etc] “the Japanese have an expression – 'wa'. Chris and Sally Ann have it musically.”
Sally Ann had not reckoned on a being a vocalist, despite having earned a degree in music. “She's an undiscovered treasure,” says co-manager Heather
Vincent-Niven. “We immediately recognized this would be a magical pairing.”
The pairing sets a new direction that fans of the trio will recognize – soulful blues/rock, driven by the veteran rhythm section of Dominic Hill, bass, and Bob Richards, drums, [Man, Dave Edmunds].
Buck & Evans opened up the Steelhouse Festival 2013, the first night of a
weekend of classic rock music, sharing the same stage as Saxon and Michael Schenker. Chris & Sally Ann flew to Arizona in August 2013 to join Slash and other American rock bands playing at the Rock N’ 2 Remember fundraiser.

I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!
