(Long Beach, CA) - The First Annual New Blues Festival, more than anything
else, is bringing the Blues back to Long Beach in a big way - back where they
belong!
"It is an honor
to join the original founders of the Long Beach Blues Festival and so many
legendary and new stars of the blues this Labor Day weekend, the traditional
weekend for festival blues in Long Beach!," says William Grisolia, Producer of
the New Blues Festival. "For over thirty years, the Southern California region
has been treated to this most American of music and each artist, volunteer and
sponsor will be proud this year to have helped revive our communities’ rich
cultural tradition. Congratulations and bravo to each of you!"
Taking place
on the onetime site of the venerable Big Time Blues Festival presented by the
late Betty Miller and partner Bernie Pearl, this year's new Blues festival
