Music industry veteran John Abbey takes the helm January

Houston,
Texas based Connor Ray Music announced today that John Abbey will assume control
of the day to day operations as General Manager and CEO. Connor Ray Music was
originally founded in 1995. Steve Krase, Founder and President of Connor Ray
Music, had this to say about the announcement, “John
Abbey is one of the most well-known personalities in this business and brings a
wealth of knowledge and leadership to the company. We are excited about the
future of Connor Ray Music with John at the helm!”
John
Abbey commented, "I found everyone within Connor Ray and those around Connor Ray

In
2014 Connor Ray Music releases rose to the number 1 and number 3 spots on
Billboard's Blues Chart. Trudy Lynn's “Royal Oaks Blues Cafe'” reached the
coveted number 1 spot and Steve Krase's current release “Buckle Up” reached
number 3 and is currently moving up on the Americana charts with crossover hits
such as "Jolene".
John
Abbey has a long track record in the music industry dating back to the 1960’s
when he founded the UK based “Blues and Soul” magazine in 1966. He later went on
to work for “Duke Records” and founded the “Action”, “Mojo” and “Contempo”
record labels before founding the famed Ichiban Records in 1985 where he helped
develop the career of Connor Ray artist Trudy Lynn and many
others.
