Blues Legend Captain Luke Passes Away at Age 87

Remembering Captain Luke

 

Early this morning, May 12th, blues legend and musical pioneer Luther "Captain Luke" Mayer passed away at age 87.

In the month since his health began declining, he was so happy to receive an outpouring of love and support from so many of you. He very much appreciated the calls, cards and well-wishes; he recently told us all the love from fans made him truly realize how much his music has meant to people.
