Hello, we are the Binsness Bluesboys. Thanks for visiting out site. We are an acoustic blues band playing mainly in the North East of Scotland. We have been playing as a band since 2010, playing Orkney Blues Festival that year and also the following year. We have also played Dundee Blues Bonanza and supported Matt Andersen twice. We played Hebden Bridge Blues Festival 2012 Dundee Blues Bonanza 2012.
We play acoustic blues music and consist of 5 members- Paul (Vocals/Bass), Sye (Guitar), James (Sax), Callum (Percussion) and Ali (harmonica). We have a set of around 2 x 45 minutes which consists of about 24 blues covers with our own added style. In the gigs Paul warms up the crowd with his charming wit and passes on advice into the meaning of some songs (or hints….) and we try and have the crowd singing along at parts. If you guys have half the fun listening as we have playing then you should enjoy yourself... hope to see you at a gig soon

I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Ace of Spades - Binsness Blues Boys
We are a 5 piece band that so far in the 2 years we have been formed have played Orkney Blues Festival twice, soon to have played Dundee Blues Bonanza twice and also Hebden Blues Festival. We really enjoy what we do and the audience love it as we take them on a journey of blues...
Our first gig was in April 2010 in Tomintoul. Since then we have enjoyed numerous local gigs and have taken our sound to The Orkney Blues Festival and the Dundee Blues Bonanza. Paul Muircroft sings in a deep gravelly blues tone whilst playing acoustic bass on the lovely Thunderchief. Sye "lightnin fingers" Murray brings his decades of guitar experience to the band with his amazing skill and blues soul. James Younie plays the Saxophone, bringing his years of experience of live music playing to the Binsness Bluesboys. Ali Davies plays harmonica, playing a mixture of single notes and tremolos leaving you wanting more. Callum Brown plays percussion on his beautifully sounding Cajon, tapping out those blues.

Is That A Monkey You Got - Binsness Blues Boys
The band formed in 2009 and started gigging in 2010. Sye and James have lots of experience from playing in other bands over the years. We were lucky that through a common interest in Blues Music the band was formed. So far we have played in pubs, restaurants and birthday parties.
