The winners were chosen by a panel of five Colorado
judges with strong ties to the music industry. As a result,
"Bounce" will be included on an upcoming compilation album (CD)
to be released by COMBO. Last year's COMBO winner compilation (along with
the lyrics to each song) was sent to, among others, The Song Factory;
Writer's Den Music Group; and Razor and Tie (Music Placement).
Herman's Hideaway in Denver will also present a
special Songwriter's Night honoring the winners (Date TBA).
"Bounce" is culled from the band's
critically-acclaimed self-titled 2014 album. The uptempo, catchy song
showcases front-person Rachel Alena's soulful, country-tinged vocals that
are highly reminiscent of tunes by contemporaries like Shania Twain,
Carrie Underwood, and Miranda Lambert, to name a few. Listen closely and
you may even hear strains of Beth Hart, Diana Fuchs, and Janiva Magness
in Alena, who calls her music "Mile High Melodic Blues-Rock".
"Bounce" is the follow-up to "Romeo", the latter
described as 'Shakespeare with a Modern-Day twist".
