Dayna Kurtz Performing 7 Shows @ SXSW Northport N.Y. - M.C. Records artist Dayna Kurtz will be playing an impressive seven dates at this years' SXSW.  Not going to be in Austin? No worries, Dayna has shows in Arizona and other parts of Texas as well as her new home in New Orleans. Dayna has taken her mix of soul, blues and jazz from Coast-to-coast and throughout Europe since releasing Secret Canon, Vol. 2 in June of 2013. She has recorded with Norah Jones and Bonnie Raitt have raved about her in interviews. Dayna has performed on such high-profile radio shows as World Cafe, Mountain Stage and NPR's Morning Edition and Tell Me More. She's toured with the likes of Elvis Costello, Richard Thompson, Mavis Staples, Rufus Wainwright, B.B. King, Dr. John, Richie Havens, Keren Ann, Chris Whitley, and the Blind Boys of Alabama. Kurtz's voice is a potent thing. She projected that voice like a stage actress; the occasional glint of grit made it all the richer.
