Adolfo "Fito" de la Parra (born 8 February 1946, Mexico City) is a Mexican drummer, best known as a longtime member of Canned Heat Fito de la Parra began playing drums professionally from the age of 14. In 1958 he was a member of a Mexican rock band called Los Sparks. Later he played with some of Mexico's most famous rock bands, Los Sinners, Los Hooligans and with Javier Batiz. In 1966 he moved to Los Angeles and became a member of Sotweed Factor and then left them to join Bluesberry Jam. He also backed The Platters, Etta James, The Rivingtons, Mary Wells and the Shirelles.[3] He replaced Canned Heat's original drummer, Frank Cook and played his first gig with the band on 1 December 1967. He joined in time for their second album, Boogie with Canned Heat, and has played on every subsequent album up to present day. During his 40+ years with Canned Heat, Fito has also played with some of the greatest blues singers of our time including, Big Joe Turner, T-Bone Walker, Albert Collins, and George "Harmonica" Smith. His solid, basic drumming and fantastic solos have led to recording sessions with John Lee Hooker, Memphis Slim, and Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown. Fito has also written a book "LIVING THE BLUES" with his personal story and Canned Heat's, now available on the band's website cannedheatmusic.com, Amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com. As "Keeper of the Flame" he has remained the band leader, rhythmic and spiritual force behind Canned Heat's music for over four decades. He has also produced three DVDs, "Boogie with Canned Heat", "Rock Made in Mexico", and "Fito de la Parra Drum Solos" and countless CDs for Canned Heat and other artists. He became a US citizen in 1984. Fito is an avid motorcyclist and an animal lover, currently living in Ventura county, CA. In recent years he was the only member of the 1960s Canned Heat line-up that toured with the group, although in 2010 (and for most shows in 2009) Larry Taylor and Harvey Mandel rejoined the group and together with Fito are currently touring worldwide. Lost John Boogie - Wayne Raney

Wayne Raney (August 17, 1921 – January 23, 1993) was an American country singer and harmonica player.
Raney was born on a farm with a foot deformity and could not do heavy labor. After learning to play harmonica at an early age, he moved to Piedras Negras, Mexico at age 13, where he played on radio station XEPN. He met Lonnie Glosson, his longtime musical associate, in 1936, and together they found work on radio in Little Rock in 1938. Later the pair worked for WCKY out of Cincinnati and played on syndicated radio. They also established a harmonica mail order business which ended up being enormously successful; they sold millions of harmonicas and played a major role in turning the harmonica into a widely popular instrument.

Raney played with the Delmore Brothers in the years after World War II, then launched a solo career in 1948; his first two singles, "Lost John Boogie" and "Jack and Jill Boogie", both reached the Top 15 of the U.S. country charts. His 1949 single, "Why Don't You Haul Off and Love Me", was a No. 1 country hit and also hit the Top 40 of the pop charts.[citation needed] Raney played the Grand Ole Opry in 1953 and also worked on the California Hayride and the WWVA Jamboree. Late in the 1950s he worked as a DJ, record producer, and label owner, starting Rimrock Records. He wrote the 1960 Christian revival song "We Need a Whole Lot More of Jesus (and a Lot Less Rock and Roll)" which has been covered by numerous artists in a variety of styles: People!, The Greenbriar Boys and Linda Rondstadt, to name but three. He recorded country music into the early 1960s, including for his own label, and ceased the mail-order business in 1960.

After returning to Arkansas, he recorded a gospel album called Don't Try to Be What You Ain't. Eventually he went into semi-retirement, running his own chicken farm and performing only occasionally in the late 1960s and 1970s. While he appeared sporadically on Hee Haw in the 1970s, he lost his voice in the 1980s and ceased performing; in 1990 he published an autobiography entitled Life Has Not Been a Bed of Roses. He died of cancer in 1993.

Rafael is probably know locally as guitarist with The Randy Oxford Band. Now, Raf has stepped out on his own! Born in Mexico City, Rafael's father saw his talent for music at an early age and started him off on piano at age 5...by the time he was 9, Rafael was playing guitar, bass and drums. After High School he studied music at La Escuela Superior de Composicion y Arreglo and from a private teacher from the University of Music in Mexico City. Since arriving in the United States, Rafael's exciting style and notable chops have have earned him the reputation of being one of the "hottest" young guitar-slingers around!

Rafael Tranquilino is a big city kid - Mexico City - and is accustomed to subways, stadium sports (especially baseball), and lots of opportunities to hear and play live music. His father, a newspaper journalist, fostered Rafael's interest and talent in music, starting him on the piano when Raf was five years old. By the time he was nine, he was playing guitar, bass, and drums. After high school, he studied music at La Escuela Superior de Composicion y Arreglo Musical and from a teacher from the University of Music in Mexico City. Mexico has a rich tradition of music festivals, and Rafael has performed at many of them, including the International Festival Cervatino, sometimes with his own band and sometimes with well-known Mexican artists, such as legendary rock and blues singer Baby Batiz and the classic blues band, Heavy Nopal. Since arriving in the United States, Rafael's exciting style and notable "chops" have earned him the reputation as one of the hottest young guitar slingers around.

Red House - Omniblues

A fusion of blues, ska, jazz and rock — This band is more than a common blues band. It is a non-profit cultural project, as well as 100% Mexican manufacture proposal, which offers a new way to convey joy and optimism through refined musical structure. Juan Avila founded in 1985 the pop music band, Omnibus, only to added two letters to become Omniblues. Omniblues has a sound all its own that has been obtained by the combination of blues with beats and musical currents like northern redoba, ska, reggae, rock and jazz. Omniblues was formed in 2003 with a group of friends who shared the passion to perform and to develop the regeneration of primary ideas. Being highly energetic, and endowed with untiring perseverance as well as perpetual optimism the band has sustained the necessary drive to perfect its concept. The band’s repertoire includes original songs and arrangements from other authors’ compositions that range from Cuco Sanchez to the Beatles, Eric Clapton and BB King , to Eulalio González Piporro and José Alfredo Jiménez, among other great national and international writers. The band has performed in many festivals in Mexico, as well as in the United Status and Argentina. Its videos can be appreciated through the world-wide web.

Lousiana Blues - Blues Mother

El grupo se originó en el año 2003 en Tlalnepantla Estado de México, con cuatro integrantes, de los cuales dos aún siguen vigentes, es decir, Jorge (guitarra), Donovan (bajo); siendo Lázaro Delgado (batería) el primer elemento en dejar el grupo alrededor del año 2004 por motivos personales. Originalmente se tocaban canciones de Hard Rock al estilo de los grupos Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Budgie, UFO, etc..

Posteriormente se incorporó Ignacio Sánchez (batería) elemento con el cual se incursionó de lleno en la fusión y el blues, saliendo de la agrupación en el año de 2008 dando lugar a Edgar Martínez Rodríguez.
En este mismo 2008 sale de la agrupación Alvin Eduardo Rodríguez (guitarra y voz principal) y se incorpora Cesar Rodas Quiroz llegando así a la alineación actual además de la incorporación de Antonio González en la armónica.

SHOCK MY BABY - ANGEL DMAYO BLUES BAND

Musician born in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Argentinia student of the classical guitar from at the age of 14, then to devote to the rock music, touching in varied places and fighting against repressive systems of the military governments of his country, this way gaining experience and force as musician and person. Already of adult he was in several bands, but after forty years and, in spite of to seeing time with important bands of his country, as Vox Dei, Jorge Pinchevsky band, Black Amaya, Ripper, Gigolo, Roxy Band, Avalanche, and some others, and also to sharing jam session with important musicians as king Albert, Albert collins, Tag Majal, BB King blues band, Jeff Halley, and some other artists of the world, it could not achieve his recognition in the musical Argentine climate.
Three years with the now with the band of Alejandro Medina he began his soloist's career .Now is on tour for America. He settled in Mexico City, achieving big success in this country and world recognition, thanks to the means of information.
His last cd called "BLUES" is a question as an only a part of the life of any human being, in his routine in his means and his customs, that is a general fact in the whole world.

Force, style and soundness give him to this material a very good taste and simplicity in what music refers, achieving simple and lively music like that, of easy understanding, happy, entertaining and versatile give a happy touch in the style of the best blues.
ANGEL DMAYO, guitarist and singer-songwriter, as also big interpreter, upsets this way with his representative and current music, in a strong and hard style

Europa - Santana

Is this the blues? This is Carlos Santana at his best. Pre Hype, pre PRS guitars (playing a Yamaha Les Paul knockoff)just choking the life out of his guitar and playing with feeling. Not going through the motions cause it's what the people want to hear. Playing it cause he feels it! Sure there are better quality films... but this is the real deal.
