Paul Orta & the Kingpins
Paul Orta has fronted his band The Kingpins and various other bands over the years. Paul Orta has performed in the U.S.A., Spain, England, Germany, Italy, France, Ireland, Norway, Brazil, Belgium, Russia, Switzerland, Sweden, Portugal, Poland, Denmark, Austria & The Netherlands.
Paul Orta has opened for B.B.King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Lee Hooker, Van Morrison, James Cotton, Buckwheat Zydeco just to name a few.
Paul Orta was born in Port Arthur, TX on September 6th 1957. Paul Orta began playing music at the age of 7. Paul Orta started his first pro band at the age of 16. In 1979 Paul Orta moved to Austin, TX. Paul Orta entered, upon arrival in Austin, TX, the University of Antones playing with blues greats suchs as Jimmy Rogers, Hubert Sumlin, Snooky Pryor, Eddie Taylor, Matt "Guitar" Murphy, Pinetop Perkins, Sunnyland Slim and many, many more.
Paul Orta can be heard on over 4 dozen different complilations & albums around the world.
Paul Orta is endorsed by Hohner Harmonicas, Shaker Mics, The Harp Depot, Kendrick Amps, Tony Ramos Harmonicas, Mauro Pionzio Harmonicas, Jimmy Gordon Harmonicas and the Amp Room.
