I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

New Release by The Twilite Broadcasters: The Trail of Time
I just received and had the chance to listen to the new release by The Twilight Broadcasters. I have a soft spot for the country blues and these guys have it down. This music as as straight forward and honest as the day is long and thoroughly enjoyable to listen to. With Adam Tanner on Mandolin, Fiddle and Vocals and Mark Jackson on Guitar and Vocals, the rip through 12 tunes, mostly traditional and acoustic standards but I can tell you the release is over before you finish your coffee ... well, I don't drink coffee but it went by pretty fast. it isn't that the release is short but that it was so enjoyable.
“Like” Bman’s Facebook page. I use Facebook to spread the word about my blog (Now with translation in over 50 languages). I will not hit you with 50 posts a day. I will not relay senseless nonsense. I use it only to draw attention to some of the key posts on my blog each day. In this way I can get out the word on new talent, venues and blues happenings! - click Here

The Trail of Time - The Twilite Broadcasters - New Release Review
I just got a copy of the new Twilite Broadcasters recording. It is a nice blend of tunes that I would associate more with bluegrass than blues. Most people don't realize how closely bluegrass (and real country) are to the blues... but relatives...not the same. I found the recording very well done and worth a listen if you can get your head around two part harmonies, acoustic mandolin and dreadnaught instead of stratocaster.
Enjoy!
