I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Driftin' Blues - Ulrich Ellison Trio
Winner of three Downbeat Awards, Ulrich Ellison is gaining international recognition as an electric guitar player whose sounds and tones are starting to attract an ever growing fan base. Critics have compared his playing with artists as diverse as Jeff Beck, Joe Satriani, John McLaughlin and Mike Oldfield. Ellison´s style is fluid, melodic, and multidimensional.
While his background is in classical compostion, blues and jazz, Ellison likes to extend his compositions into the realm of popular music. What underlies his music is an ethereal quality that takes the listener on a musical journey. His pieces have been performed by the UT Jazz Orchestra and the Austin Pops. Whether you see him play in an intimate club or a large open air venue, it is obvious that
this guy just loves to play "live on stage". Sweat, emotion, expression, live the moment. Also of note is his distinct vocal style which compliments his guitar prowess.
Recent performances have included acclaimed drummer Brannen Temple, trumpeter Ephraim Owens, and bassist Brady Muckelroy. His sideman credits include touring with artists Abra Moore and Country Rocker John Evans.
