Scorch Sisters continue to host their ever-growing All-Star Pro Blues Jam, at longtime venerable Hollywood venue the Pig N' Whistle. You never know who will show up and take the stage here- a jam that at various times has drawn the likes of musicians Kenny Wayne Shepard, Joe Bonamassa, Denny Seiwell, Steve Lukather, Bugs Henderson, and Matt Sorum, as well as actors Lou Diamond Philips and Charlene Tilton, among others. In support of our troops overseas, the Scorch Sisters' music was recently featured the entire week of June 12-18 as the Spotlight Artist heard around the globe on the American Veterans Radio network. Log onto www.avradio.org to listen in.
The recently-formed Scorch Sisters are a "super-group" of sorts whose principal members are highly-regarded SoCal musicians Francesca Capasso (vocals, percussion); Alicia McCracken Morgan (keyboards, vocals); and Kimberly "KC" Allison (guitars). Among the stellar bands and artists on the three ladies' collective musical resume's: Neil Young; Rod Stewart; Delaney Bramlett; Billy Vera and the Beaters; Joe Houston; Zola Moon; Don & Dewey; Bobby Womack; Melissa Etheridge; Spencer Davis; Carmine Appice; Randy Jackson; Some Like It Hot Revue; and Francesca and the Flames. Scorch Sisters made their performing debut at this past April's "Blues For The Rising Sun" benefit in Long Beach, followed by a headlining appearance at this past May's Real Blues Festival of Orange County 2.
