Red-Hot Blues: Scorch Sisters are lead vocalist Francesca Capasso (left); guitarist Kimberly Allison (center); and keyboardist-vocalist Alicia McCracken Morgan (right).
"The Scorch Sisters seize the blues as their own and subsequently fire it up with a unique intensity. They will demand your respect with their powerful vocals all the while having you wonder where the "Hell" have these ladies been hiding! The Scorch Sisters deliver the blues straight up: can someone say 'Cheers'?"
Jim Lederle/AMERICAN VETERANS RADIO
(Arcadia, CA) - Red Hot Blues is what the Scorch Sisters play, and their reputation is spreading far and quickly thanks in part to recent high-profile gigs including headlining Real Blues Festival 2 in May, "Ladies Do the Blues" in July and "Lorey's Blues For Hope" this past August among others. Not bad for a group that has been together less than six months!
Come see what sets these ladies apart from the rest of the pack as they compete in "Battle of the Blues Bands" at the Arcadia Blues Club, 16 E. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, Sunday, October 2. 3:50-4:15 p.m. $15. Info: (626) 447-9349 or www.arcadiabluesclub.com. Event sponsored by the Santa Clarita Valley Blues Society, with the winner moving on to the 2012 International Blues Challenge competition taking place January 31-February 4, 2012 in Memphis, TN.
