I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

The Haymarket Opera Company makes its debut with this exciting production of a rarely heard masterpiece of George Frideric Handel. This delightful pastoral serenade for three singers and orchestra tells one of Ovid's tales from Metamorphoses. In the story, both the shepherd Acis and the giant Polyphemus love Galatea, a sea nymph. When Galatea chooses Acis as her lover, Polyphemus becomes enraged and smashes him with a rock. The bereft Galatea appeals to her father Nereus, Titan of the Sea, to change Acis into a stream so that she may live with him into eternity.
