BOB CORRITORE GOT HIS MOJO WORKING

BOB CORRITORE GOT HIS MOJO WORKING 2011 has been quite the landmark year for blues impresario Bob Corritore. Things got off to a promising start as Corritore entered the New Year following the announcement of two Blues Music Award nominations in December - one recognizing him for Instrumentalist-Harmonica, and the other, Historical Blues Album of the Year, acknowledged his remarkable recording “Harmonica Blues” on Delta Groove Music. His album ultimately took home the honor for Historical Album of the Year during the ceremony for the 32nd Annual Blues Music Awards on Thursday, May 6, 2011. In September, Corritore’s club, The Rhythm Room, celebrated its 20th Anniversary with three nights of great performances that included the Robert Cray Band, Tommy Castro, Long John Hunter, Bob Margolin, Mud Morganfield, Billy Flynn, Barrelhouse Chuck, Dave Riley and many others. To top it all off, Corritore was presented with a Certificate of Special Recognition on September 1, 2011 by Arizona Governor Janice K. Brewer for his accomplishments as a national recording artist and for his contributions to blues music throughout the State of Arizona. Congratulations Bob and keep up the good work!
