I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

When Did the Soul Leave The Shoals - Mudd Bone
Somewhere in the Swamps of North Alabama, between Heaven and hell lies a music scene. This scene echos sounds from the past, yet has somehow went deafly quiet. Enter the new "Muscle Shoals" sound. Enter Muddbone. A band full of talented musicians who's love and appreciation for all forms of music takes you on a wild ride through the days of Delta blues, juke joints, fast women and hard rock from the 70's. A band comprised of 2 guitarist, a bass player and a relentless attack on drums. Made up of local musicians Donnie Young(Guitar/Vocals), Robert Cowan(Otis)(Lead Guitar/Vocals),Jerry Watkins(Drums), and Cole Perry(Bass/Vocals). With great originals, and a desire to stay true to the good old days of Rock and Roll, Muddbone takes it's unique sound to the stages of the tri-cities and beyond. Watch out for them in 2010, it's going to be one hell of a ride
