I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!

Sugar - Mick Hayes
Mick Hayes is the quintessential young front man the music industry was built on. With his sharp dressed attitude and his “born lucky” charm, Mick is sculpting the sound of Contemporary Blues and R&B today with powerful vocals and extraordinary guitar playing. Mick holds the homegrown skills that pass through all of the Blues sub-categories in one show.
Mick has performed in front of huge crowds numbering in the upper 20,000’s and opened for bands such as The Doobie Brothers, Peter Fampton, Dickie Betts, Los Lonely Boys, Dave Mason, Robin Trower, Cheap Trick, Duke Robillard and many more. Mick has shared the stage alongside the industries finest including: Gary Mallaber, Michael Burkes, Tony Galla, Smokin Joe Kubek, Joe Bonamassa, Will McFarlane and several more.
In 2011 Mick Hayes had the honor of returning home to be inducted into the “Buffalo Music Hall of Achievement” as a solo artist, and also for the work he has done with his band. He added these awards alongside the many others that are now all part of an extensive list of career accomplishments he has obtained over a short period of time.
In summer 2012 Mick Hayes began proudly endorsing Fuchs Audio Technology which quickly turned into a great opportunity for the Mick Hayes Band as opening act for Cheap Trick because Rick Nielsen (original founder) is also an endorser. Mick is playing their flagship amplifier ‘The Overdrive Supreme’. Because of Mick’s relationship with the company, he was chosen to be a representing artist for Fuchs at this year’s 2012 NAMM show. In addition to this, Mick was selected by the board at NAMM to perform on stage for the musician filled Anaheim Civic Center.
Mick returned home early this year with endorsements from six other companies including; SIT Strings, Heliarc Guitars and Knaggs Guitars. Joe Knaggs was the private stock builder for Paul Reed Smith Guitars for close to 20 years. Joe hand built all their endorsing artist’s guitars and has now started his own company listing Mick Hayes as one of his first 10 endorsers! Mick is playing the Kenai model , with a serial number of #121.
Currently Mick is home in Buffalo, NY in celebration over being recently married and the release of the long awaited solo album Recovery that was three years in the making. The Mick Hayes Band is planning & routing a northeast tour schedule starting in spring-fall 2012 in support of their recent endorsements and new CD release. They will be recording a series of live shows at festivals and seated venues for DVD to be released in 2013.
Mick Hayes is the top class, hard working, entertaining front man that continues to influence the music scene all over the Nation. His lively guitar playing and liquid vocals create a bigger fan base at the end of every song and strike of every note.
