Rufus Quinlan, 2 February, 1900, Gainesville, Georgia, USA, - 31 January 1946; piano, vocals - Ben, 23 June, 1907, Gainesville, Georgia, USA; vocals) worked in various combinations, but mostly in a group named the Blue Harmony Boys. This group, which also included other singers or musicians at various times, such as guitarist James McCrary, was notable in that the vocalists sang blues and related material in sweet, close harmonies. Ben was not with them at their first recording session in 1929, but was present at sessions in the following two years. The brothers were well known as performers around Atlanta at this time and had a regular spot on a local radio station. Although their material on record was of a good time nature, Rufus was also known for composing religious songs.

I started a quest to find terrific blues music and incredible musicianship when I was just a little kid. I also have a tremendous appreciation of fine musical instruments and equipment. One of my greatest joys all of my life was sharing my finds with my friends. I'm now publishing my journey. I hope that you come along!
